CHORDCRAFT - Expanded Harmony Course

ChordCraft: Expanded Harmony Guitar Course

Unlock Inversions, Richer Voicings and Creative Progressions

Ready to take your guitar playing beyond basic chord shapes?

ChordCraft is a focused three-session course designed to expand your chord vocabulary, improve your understanding of harmony and help you discover new ways to create richer, more expressive guitar parts.

Led by Gabriel Blackalpha, an experienced guitarist, educator and songwriter, this course focuses on practical, visual approaches to understanding the fretboard and applying advanced harmony to your playing. You'll explore movable chord shapes and techniques you can use in your own music, without getting lost in complicated theory.

What You'll Learn

Session 1: Harmonic Fields & Playing in Keys

Learn how chords fit together within a key using visual fretboard maps and movable chord shapes. Find major and minor chords across the neck and navigate keys using barre and power chords, without relying on a capo.

Session 2: Triad & Tetrad Inversions

Expand your chord vocabulary with major, minor, diminished and augmented triads in root position, first inversion and second inversion. Explore movable inversions of major 7, minor 7, dominant 7 and minor 7♭5 chords across different string sets.

Session 3: Advanced Voicings & Chord Substitutions

Add colour to your playing with movable 9th, 11th and 13th chord shapes. Discover practical diatonic and tritone substitutions to create more interesting progressions and explore new harmonic possibilities.

Who Is This Course For?

ChordCraft is ideal for guitarists who are comfortable with basic open chords, barre chords and power chords and are ready to take the next step.

Whether you play rock, metal, alternative, pop or write your own music, you'll gain practical tools to broaden your musical vocabulary and approach the fretboard with greater confidence.
